Thursday/Friday: You have no homework! yeah! Next week we begin chemical reactions!
Tuesday/Wednesday: Tonight you only need to make sure to finish what you started in class. Remember that you will have both periods in class on Thursday/Friday to put it all together. What ever your part is, don't let your partners down (if you have partners).
Thursday/Friday: You have no homework! yeah! Next week we begin chemical reactions! Tuesday/Wednesday: Well, you are starting to finish your unit on substances. Tonight you need to first prepare for the test. When your notebook is prepared, have your parents quiz and score you on the study guide. Don't forget to get a signature! In addition, you should be thinking about your planet project. Have some good resources to bring in?
Thursday/Friday: You took your test today and hopefully it went well. You also had a chance to work on your planet project so now you know what you must have to bring in next week. Don't fail! Monday/Tuesday: Tonight you need to finish your atom panel for the ceiling! In addition you should be thinking about what materials you have to build your 3-D atom model. NOTE: Period 3 we didn't get far enough to do this. We'll complete the panel in class.
Wednesday/Thursday: Start working on your 3-D model of the atom. This will be due on Mon/Tues of next week! Don't forget to get busy on the study guide! Friday: 3-D Atom Model Due first thing next week! Study Guide too! Monday/Tuesday: You MUST get the parent input page signed and scored by your parent!!!! Be sure they fill in their review on Quarter 2 of the sheet. This is the last grade of Quarter 2!!!
Wednesday/Thursday: See M/T Friday: RELAX!!! Quarter 3 starts Monday! You are half way to high school! _Monday/Tuesday: Look at that brand new periodic table I gave you and figure out all the puns! Solve them all by Friday.
Wednesday/Thursday: See Monday/Tuesday Friday: TBD Tuesday/Wednesday: Tonight you need to find at least three materials/substances that you can bring to class for testing when I see you next.
Thursday/Friday: All you have to do is update your Table of Contents! Good job this week on all of the investigations! Monday/Tuesday: Tonight you need to get all of the basic sketches onto your cards for the flipbook. Remember, this is an assessment (test) of your knowledge of the life cycle of stars. In addition, I need you to complete the "Become The Riddler" homework on the left side of the new entry on the States of Matter. Don't know how to do "Become the Riddler?" Just look at your resources pages in your notebook it will be described on the sheet titled "Process, Process, Process."
Wednesday/Thursday: Finish your Flip Book!!!! You will have some class time, but not much! Friday: No homework! Lab week next week. Well, we started this week on a Tuesday so It's a little funky, but not bad. We finished density a while ago, and force and motion right up to the winter break, and now we're going to start learning about matter.
Tuesday/Wednesday: So we started with learning about how matter, forces, and density come together to create what happens in the sun. Tonight on the left hand side of the "Sun is a Star" entry we want you to go home and find an article (from the computer, newspaper, a magazine) and to glue it in. The article has to have some connection to the sun, but it CANNOT mention the sun anywhere in the article. You will then, in 40 words or less, explain the unwritten connection, and then create an illustration showing this connection. Thursday/Friday: Today you got to learn a bit more about stars, their life cycles, types, etc. Tonight, using your Costa's Levels of Inquiry in your notebook, develop a level one, two, and three question that you are really wondering about stars. Your questions all go on the Monday/Tuesday: Today you were able to close out your final project meant to give you that last bit of polish before this final test. You also got the data that you will work with for the final graphing exercise. Feel free to get started on graphing the data even though you will have both periods tomorrow to work on it.
Wednesday/Thursday: This was your final force and motion test day! Tonight you may want to relax! ...or get on the blog. Friday: Have a restful break. When we return in January be ready for a whole new subject, Chemistry!!! Monday/Tuesday: This week is a weird one in that we have all these half days. I'll see you for two periods on Monday or Tuesday, but then only two half periods on Thursday and Friday! In any case, at this point you should know what the song is all about (Newton's Laws) and we're going to look more closely at graphing.
Tonight you need to complete the questions on Ashley's Ride, it's the piece we glued in on the right hand side of a new entry. You also need to go home and sing the song I taught you and then explain the connection between the song and the laws. Your parents can leave the comment and their signature below the song portion of that entry. Thursday: Tonight you need to finish what you didn't finish in class. For most classes this means that you need to complete the conversion of the "Ashley's Ride" position vs.time graph into a speed vs. time graph. Friday: Tonight I need you to finish what didn't get done in that really tiny class period we had today. You basically need to have alll of "Bobby LIkes to Go Fast" completed. We will be converting this one into a position vs. time graph, so if you want to get ahead |
