Oh, and I'll give you extra credit for going!!!
Expanding Your Horizons is coming in March!!! This conference for parents and girls will be held on March 2nd and is focused on giving girls an opportunity to learn more about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and for parents to know how to better support their daughters. To register go to www.eyhsandiego.org
Oh, and I'll give you extra credit for going!!! Physical Science: This is a really weird week! You need to have your report card envelope signed. You also need to have your graphs translated into the other kind of graph. HEY, also make sure to donate what you can to our adopt-a-family students, Carl!!!
Life Science: The week is odd so this post will be too. We won't get a chance to do our meal worm experiments so we'll focus on structural adaptations out in the field. So for homework I just need you to make sure that the first FIVE parts of your lab write up and perfect and meet the expectations listed in the guidelines. Next week the experiments begin so also make sure to have all equipment/materials you might need!!!!! Physical Science: T/W: Tonight I want you to complete the Ashley and Maria graphing worksheet. It should be #15 in your notebook. Just put the answers on the right, do NOT put anything on the left. We'll do something with the left later. Th/F: Tonight, I want you to complete your "Bobby Likes to Go Fast" worksheet. Don't do anything to the left hand side on the entry. We'll leave that side for when we return. Life Science: T/W: Tonight I want you to get ready to do our experiments when we return from Thanksgiving. SO tonight you need to make a final copy of the Title Page, Introduction, and Hypothesis. Th/F: Tonight I want you to get ready to do our experiments when we return from Thanksgiving. SO tonight you need to make a final copy of the Materials and Procedures.
Physical Science:
M/T: Because of my screw-up on the end of the quarter, there is no homework tonight. W/Th: Tonight I want you to explain to your parents the meaning of the song you learned today. They must have a response to YOU and a signature. Life Science: M/T: You just need to get that parent input page signed without fail!!! It's the last points on the quarter! W/Th: Today we started the conversation about form and function in organism traits. Now that you've seen some examples in class, I want you to go home and find plants and animals around your home and carefully draw the helpful "forms" (adaptations) you see and then describe how they provide a "function" to help the organism survive. |
