NONE! You really just need to make sure your portfolio is done so that you can be checked out by Friday.
M/T: Tonight you need to complete your portfolio presentation outline. This should be in your notebook and any supporting evidence/materials should also be marked (in the notebook) or collected (If it's a lab or project). W/Th: Tonight I need you to arrange a time with your parents to do your portfolio presentation with your parents. Get this done as early as possible so it doesn't interfere with any of your finals, etc. F: Tonight I need you make sure you have completed all of your sex ed papers with your parents. These will be checked in on Monday/Tuesday of next week. You should have Teen Parenting, My Birth, Dating, Values, Course Overview, and Who I am done at this point.
T/W: There isn't any homework, UNLESS your egg baby died. If it did die, you can still get all of your points by writing a short essay. The essay should be within 1-2 pages, have a minimum of 3 sources, and also be on a topic related to how your baby died. Need more details, talk to me.
Th/F: Teen Parenting. Questions are on the right. You complete them and then you let your parents M/T: You have brought in your eggs (theoretically) and now you need to get the "parent cooperation letter" signed. While you are doing that, you should also get your parents' ideas on dating. W/Th: Egg babies are tomorrow! Did you get your slip signed? No other homework F: Take care of your baby! It must stay crack free until the 28th or 29th!!!
M-Th: Since we have state testing this week I only get to see you twice for your regular class where we are doing the values and choices program. Therefore until I see you Friday I only need you to complete the worksheet that is below "What I Think" F: Next week you will be receiving your egg babies so I need each of you to bring in two RAW eggs so I can prepare them. You should really also be thinking about how you are going to care for your egg so that it does not crack when you receive it next Friday. The project will run from the 23rd-30th
M/T: Tonight, if you didn't finish it in class, I want you to finish the last of your essential questions. Random Check is coming again! We're going to use these to prepare for the state test next week. W/Th: The Values and Choices program has begun! You need to take the schedule to your parents and leave it with them. Then you need to have your parents write their responses to which is the most important topic and which is the most difficult topic in your notebook. Remember that you need to do the same below theirs. F: Next week is the state exam. So this weekend I want you to casually work your way through your notebook refreshing your understanding of each of the topics. You are going to do really well! I can feel it in my bones!
M/T: Well, I wanted you to do the essential questions for entries 6-10. BUT I forgot that I had a substitute teacher have you do these earlier this year. SO, what I would like you to do is make sure that you have all of your essential questions and review them. We will be doing it in class. W/Th: Test Tomorrow! Make sure you have your study guide from last week prepared! Review entries 11-20 for essential questions. F: Review essential questions from entries 21-30. ...then relax!
M/T: Today you received the last of the chemistry that you should know, organic chemistry. You can find another copy of the "cheat sheet" below. You may have noticed that when we talked about this stuff in class that it had a confusing naming system. No worries, we'll practice. For tonight I want you to start looking at the ingredients on cleaning products around your home (worksheet is below). You will probably see some connections with what we discussed today and pH. In addition to the worksheet, I need you to bring in three labels from foods that you love to eat. Please check with your parents first before you pull/cut your labels off! W/Th: Tonight I want you to practice what you are learning by reading an interesting article called DHMO. You can find it below if you lost yours. F: We just keep on learning new things about how chemistry affects out life, but we're heading towards testing so we're going to start the review. So before I see you next I want you to look at the first 5 entries in your notebook. annalyze them and decide what is the one big question that was answered in that entry. Write your response in the crack of the entry. Do this for the first five. Lastly, I want you to start the study guide I gave you (you can download it too) since we'll be having a test late next week.
