M/T: Today you learned more about atom structure and why the periodic table is constructed the way it is. Tonight I want you to start the process of looking at atoms by finding an article from "science news for kids" or some other source that talks about atoms or molecules. Once you have the article, print it, glue it in on the right hand page, and then do the "One Page Summary (No more, no less)" on the left side of the entry. The instructions can be found on your "Reading Strategies" page.
W/Th: Now we're looking at substances. Tonight I need you to make a drawing of each of the substances we described in class. Of course, you can also start thinking about the structure of our solar system too since that is where we're headed.
