Hmmm...can you post a graph here too?
Look at the picture I've included. Click it and let it enlarge to get a better look. Now post (describe) where and how each and every term we have used from this unit can be seen in the picture. You should include all of the force and motion terms, speed calculations (average and instantaneous), and newton's three laws. Feel free to add to, or correct, anyone who maybe didn't quite describe it as well as you can.
Hmmm...can you post a graph here too?

In this picture I see the third newtons law air residence and distance and friction when he hits the water

In the picture Newtons 3rd law is shown very clearly.. The action of him jumping results to the reaction of his body hurting when he hits the water.... All of the motion definitions are shown in the picture..his speed coming up to the ramp and also through the air..velocity is speed with a direction and that is shown when he skis up to the ramp..the reference point is the ramp ....and his acceleration is his change of speed as he speeds up to hit the jump. The force definitions are also shown very clearly...gravity is shown when he comes back down to the water after he goes off the jump..the friction of his skis is sliding friction as his skis skim across the water..air resistance is shown when the air passes by him as he rides the skis..

What do you think of Robbie's post? ...missing anything?

I think that robbie did a good job on describing this picture. Also coming from me this is newtons third law. Next, this shows speed, acceleration, direction, velocity, and gravity.

Robbie did do a good job, but forgot a couple of things... 1/16/2014 07:48:37 am
Robbie did describe this very well but I think he forgot about the turning motion that he does when he is in the air. The turning motion seems to cause more air resistance towards his whole body because when he turns the force of the wind is hitting all parts of his body. Also the direction of his body turning doesn't really pinpoint a refrence point for a finish.

This picture shows Newtons third law because it has air resistance when he turns his body and the force that he includes in launching him self

Explain what you mean here.

This picture shows many things such as newton's 3rd. It also shows force of when the man was pushing off the platform. He must of had to use great thrust, acceleration and much seed to move his bobby and then it shows how gravity pulled him back down. With in the turning motion he used velocity and many reference points to complete his jump.

Gotta move on! Not bad, but this is an old blog. ...and what do you mean by "move his bobby"? :) Comments are closed.
