Next week we have a lab that involves these laws I've mentioned. No I haven't spoken yet about these laws. What I would like the first person to do is to post these laws written in your own words. Everyone that follows should post examples of these laws from real life.

First Law of Thermodynamics energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.

I believe the first law relates melting and ice cube. When its in ice form the energy in the molecules are stiff because its a solid but as it melts in turns into a liquad and the molecules eneregy has more room the move. I dobt really now if this applys since we havent been taught yet but im just trying.

The first law states that energy can't be created or destroyed. An example is matter in the universe can't be formed or demolished. The second law states that energy can't flow from point A(the coldest) to point B(the hottest) because you can't keep a continous flow of energy going without adding heat, however the quanity decreases over time. The third law states that all developments lessen as the temp. gets closer to zero. Which means the molecules stop moving and there is no energy.

Well, Lu looks like she has ideas. Anyone agree with her? Comments are closed.
